Productive Performance, Egg Quality, and Pigments on Sorghum-Based Feed for Japanese Quail

The study aimed to determine evaluate the use of sorghum as a substitute for maize in laying quail diet and its effect on performance quality eggs produced best levels lutein (Marigold flower extract) canthaxanthin inclusion based Japanese feed well influence storage time eggs. A total 680 quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica), with 64 weeks age was distributed 4 × x4 factorial + 1 control scheme, four (LUT), (CTX) group no addition pigments, five replicates eight birds per experimental unit. experiment divided into three cycles 21 days, where egg parameters were evaluated. To deposition permanence pigments yolk, evaluated treatment 12 days at beginning end, from last day consumption rations containing pigments. For quality, maybe only differences (p> 0.05) observed, except yolk color, higher color scores according increase consumption. Whereas parameters, it observed that period consumption, influenced red reading yellow readings, while final interaction 5.4 ppm 1.3 provided better up 10 after end pigment.
